Yeovil Pen Mill railway station c1964This photo was identified originally as a photo of the two platform Yeovil Pen Mill station taken circa 1964. Yeovil Pen Mill railway station is one of two stations serving the town of Yeovil, Somerset, about 1 mile east of the town centre. It is currently situated on the Heart of Wessex Line.
Yeovil Pen Mill opened in 1854 by the Great Western Railway as part of the Wilts, Somerset and Weymouth line.
Plenty of lines, sidings, buildings, bridge and rolling stock here. I guess this used to be a rather busy place?
I've seen an old photo of Yeovil Junction and its layout seemed rather alike... but I might be wrong.

Looks very Yeovil Pen Mill to me, the Single track on the left with 2 platform faces are very rare. Yeovil Pen Mill has a platform with 2 faces.

Yeovil. There was also Yeovil Town station, used by the Southern Region, which also appeared to have a track with two platform faces. A splendid shot of the site, taken by Ben Brookswbank, now appears on the Geograph site: www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2030322
The scene was one of dereliction by 1972 and the station and locosheds have since been demolished to make way for Yeo Country Park, including a cinema

Yeovil Junction is not dissimilar - it has a central island platform, with sidings on the south side
