Ballachulish in 1950s

This photo was captioned 'Ballachulish 1950s'. The date could be fine but the station is not the same as picture #856. The sign on the left makes me think that this is the former railway halt of 'Ballachulish Ferry', situated half a mile inland from the actual ferry. As far as I know this station closed in 1966.

The steam locomotive is numbered 55238.

Comments:
The 0-4-4T locomotive is one of only 4 of William Pickersgill design built for the Caledonian Railway on or after 1922, although the LMS built another 10.

This is the Ballachulish Ferry halt as was. We as children knew the station master very well as he was friends of our parents. It indeed closed in 1966.
