Bryngwyn railway station c1963Photo of the Bryngwyn railway station, south east Wales, in 1963.
Okay.... now experts needed here. As according to Wikipedia this stationed opened in 1877 but closed in 1916 for passengers and 1936 completely..... if that is true the time-tag of this picture would obviously be wrong.
The steam locomotive is the 46512. For more info on the Ivatt Class 2F-B locomotive see picture #746

46512 was built circa 1953 and was based at Oswestry shed (89A) at that time and was perhaps still there 10 years later

This Bryngwyn is Bryngwyn Halt on the Cambrian's branch to Llanfyllin in Powys, and at one time in the county of Montgomery. The line ran from a junction at Llanymynech, a station a little to the south of Oswestry. Neither of these Bryngwyn locations could be said to be in south east Wales. I doubt if any vestige remains here now, though there is some railway preservation in progress in the Llanymynech area
