Whitehouse Railway Station

The last photo I have of this series of railway stations and rolling stock is of Whitehouse station as it was in 1959.
It was situated in Aberdeenshire, Scotland on the line from Kintore to Alford. Don't know when it closed but by the looks of the photo I would say a couple of years before this was taken (at least).

This Great North Of Scotland Railway branch was opened in 1859. Looking again at the shining rails it became clear that the line was still being used for freight in 1959. Passenger trains ceased sometime earlier - in 1950. Goods traffic continued until 1966

The station house is still there at the entrance to what looks like a small Maersk container depot.
