4472 Flying Scotsman and 35026 Lamport & Holt Line also provided motive power en route, amongst others, including the V2 60813, a Black Five, an A4 and a 9F.

Slight correction here Martin, Black 5 45104 was used as a Pilot only, I THINK between Bolton and Blackburn. Also, the 9F No. 92113 came on as Pilot at Dudley East I THINK and I'm not sure where it was dropped off. Possibly Oldbury. I suspect 35026 which was Train Engine might have had some bad coal. It seemed to be making heavy weather of it from memory. The A4 was 60024 Kingfisher which came on at Aberdeen and took the train as far as Edinburgh where 4472 took over to Doncaster. 350026 then took the train all the way to Waterloo. The only other Train Engine was Jubilee 45581 Bihar and Orissa which took the train from Manchester Victoria to Hellifield. I have some photos of 45581 but will post them when Marcel has a chance to catch up.
