The same water polo match as in picture #2235 a different camera angle and this time everyone is looking at the camera!!!
The railway viaduct is seen in the background, it was to be altered 3 years later in 1928.

How fashion has changed since then!
Presumably the water polo match was played during the summer, and yet most of the men are wearing jackets, ties and hats. A few are also smiling.

Indeed as we will see as I post more of the collection on to Time-Capsules hats do figure large in days gone by. And I do mean large some of the flat caps look to be about 3 feet wide!!!
