Car at St Mawgan, Cornwall

A wonderful photo of a lady, looking very similar to Ms Marple, in a beautiful open car. Can anybody provide more information on the make of the car?

Have you got any idea on which year this car was made? You might be right, certain features are certainly like Ford model T had them. However there are some parts that confuse me like the round radiator, the logo on the radiator and the motor compartment doesn't seem to have the right shape either. Some of these features look a bit like the Napier but more importantly like the Cadillac....

Hmm. Not sure that it's a model T. The model T had cooling grills at the side of the engine, and there are none visible here. Also, the 1925 model Ts I've found online have small lights at the top of the front wheel arches, and this doesn't. See http://tinyurl.com/umtpu

Hi Marcel, I have managed to work out it's Chevrolet 490 Touring made between 1919 and 1922.The 30 inch wooden 12 spoke wheels had large hub flanges and clincher rims, unlike uk manufacturer built cars which had 10 spoke wheels. The curved wheel arches where fitted to later cars, as was the curved front doors. The black radiator whith the chevy 'bow tie' emblem helps I.D. the car.Chevy built car to compete with Ford. All right han drive cars where built at the 'Port of New York' for export markets. The headlights and starter motor where optional extra's.All for now, mike

Looks like AF5467, an early registration issued in Cornwall. 1919-22 seems about right.
