BR Standard Class 5 No.73096

73096 trundles through Denton in the summer of 1965 with a fitted mixed freight for Yorkshire from Stockport. From here the train would route through Guide Bridge, Stalybridge and then by the Micklehurst loop to Diggle and then through Stannedge into deepest,darkest Yorkshire. This was my favourite spot in the 60's and my biggest regret is that I didn't have my own camera and for shots such as this I had to smuggle Dad's out of the house and risk a telling off when he had the film developed.
