As far as I can remember, this hovercraft came to Hamala Camp, Bahrain on trials in the desert while I was stationed there. Hamala Camp was the Army base, used by the Royal Anglian Regiment, although I was in the RAF attached there with others to manage a radar site. The photograph was taken in June 1969.
