RTTL 2748 at full speed in the Cromarty FirthOn a gloomy day 2748 charges along the Cromarty Firth at top speed, 33 knots, powered by its twin Rolls-Roce engines. These craft were used for Air Sea Rescue by the Royal Air Force, and my job was to maintain the radar on board. The vibration and buffeting were tremendous!

Is this the same 2748 now moored at Laira in Plymouth? I took a photo of her 2 days ago (30th June 2009) and can forward to anyone interested.

Hi Andrew!
Could well be the same 2748! Why not add your picture to either this web site or the Librapix "Your Boats" web site, where you can find more of my pictures (e.g. picture 1741) and comments on this boat.

Sorry, Garry, several of 3304 though. Perhaps I should put up more from Alness Marine Craft Unit (scanned from slides) when I have time.
