BAC 1-11-432FD G-AXOX at Muharraq, Bahrain

Gulf Air ordered one Series 432FD on 29 July 1969 with an option on a second. This option was taken up and the aircraft were delivered in November 69 (this one, so it was virtually brand new when I took this photograph), and November 1971. The aircraft were operated throughout the Gulf area and to Egypt, India and Pakistan. Points served from Bahrain included Abu Dhabi, Bombay, Cairo, Doha, Dubai, Karachi, Kuwait, Muscat, Sharjah and Shiraz. The type was finally disposed of in November 1977.
