She was designed by Fowler, built in 1934 by Crewe Works (LMS - London Midland & Scottish Railway) and ended service in 1962. Info thanks to Rail UK.

I've been searching for some more information myself, as a novice, and found an entry in my encyclopedia which looked very similar. She looks remarkably like the no. 6100 Royal Scot....
