The Creek, Dubai in 1969

Taken in July 1969, with a large dhow moored in the Creek. These dhows frequently crossed over to India - this one appears to be loading or unloading rock most probably unloading, because Dubai was undergoing great building expansion at the time. There are probably skyscrapers at this location beside the Creek now!
