Stern of the replica Mayflower II in 1950s

Replica 17th century sailing vessel Mayflower II. She was built in Devon, England, during 1955–1956, in a collaboration between Warwick Charlton and an American museum, Plimoth Plantation.
Built at the Upham Shipyard in Brixham (England) and financed by private donations in England and the museum, the ship was a symbol of friendship between the United Kingdom and the USA for collaboration in World War II.
She sailed across the Atlantic Ocean in April 1957.
