An era gone by ...
2 schooners (in French called "goelette") downbound on the St-Lawrence River in front of Quebec City on a 1957 summer day.
These boats were made of wood and were used to transport all kinds of goods between cities and villages along the River. But mostly, they carried wood for pulp mills.
