Clyde Steamer TS Queen Mary 2

This Clyde steamer (Caledonian Steamship Company) was originally named Queen Mary, but when Cunard ordered the John Brown shipyard hull no. 534 and wanted to name their new liner Queen Mary, the owners agreed to change the name to the TS Queen Mary II, allowing the new liner on launching in 1934 to be named the Queen Mary.

Info thanks to Peter Langsdale.

She was converted to oil burning in 1957 during a major overhaul and one funnel was removed. The second funnel has now been reinstated.
