I am quite sure that this is a Fokker Trimotor (with 3 engines), dating from around 1929, when they were first acquired by the Belgian airline, SABENA. Eventually SABENA had 28 of these, and the main production version was the F.VIIb. The registrations included OO-AID to OO-AIZ.

In deed this is a Fokker F-VIIb/3m of Sabena. It is the OO-AIO.

Sabena in 1930. Marvellous shot. The Belgian national airline existed from 1923 to 2001. Amazing how air travel changed in 70 years - from 1930 to 2000, by which time Sabena was running Airbus 330s - see www.planesandchoppers.com/picture/number9730.asp
which were later taken on by Lufthansa. Presumably it was the economy airline Ryanair which did for Sabena? Peter L will know more, I imagine
