Aerial photo of Bangor Railway Station 1969

Nice overview of Bangor Railway Station, signal box and Bangor Mountain at the north-end.
Bangor, Gwynedd, Wales, is the last mainland station on the London Euston to Holyhead North Wales Coast line and was first opened in 1848.
It was a also a busy goods station which saw on its lines amongst other stuff the nuclear fuel to and from Wylfa nuclear power station on Anglesey.
However, in the 1960s and 1970s the closure of the branch lines resulted in reduction of the station was to two platforms only. It is currently managed by Arriva Trains Wales.

Comments:
This photo shows Bangor No1 signalbox on the left. This box closed on 8th December 1968 and most of the points in the foreground (controlled from No1 signalbox) had gone before this photo was taken in 1969 ???
