Photo of the Ainsdale Railway Station, near Southport, England. Note that the rail is closed / gates are open.
The two platform Ainsdale train station was opened in 1848 on the Liverpool, Crosby and Southport Railway. In 1904 it became part of Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway, in 1923 of London, Midland and Scottish Railway and in 1948 of British Rail.
Nowadays it is part of Merseyrail Network's Northern Line, currently managed by Merseyrail.
