Addingham Railway Station

Photo of the Addingham train station, West Yorkshire, England, as it was in ca 1910.
The two platform station was initially run by Midland Railways and became part of LMS in 1923. In turn in 1948 it passed on to the Eastern Region of British Rail in 1948 when the rails were nationalised in the UK. Addingham was one of the victims of the Beeching Report and was subsequently closed in 1965. Unfortunately the buildings were demolished just a few years later, so again a unique picture.

But hopefully will be rebuilt on the Northern edge of Addingham when the Yorkshire dales railway extends back to Addingham!
