Ammanford Railway Station

Photo of Ammanford Railway Station, as it was in 1958. Ammanford is a town is Wales (UK).
This one platform station was opened in 1841 by Llanelly Railway. In 1873 it was operated jointly by Great Western and London & North Western. In 1923 in turn it became part of LMS Railway and in 1948 it was part of the Western Region of British Rail.
Nowadays it is managed by Arriva Trains Wales (2009).

As far as I know the buildings in this photo don't exist anymore but have been replaced by a modern shelter.
