Description

Whenever the East Coast main line was closed on Sundays for repair work, the Pacific-hauled express trains used to be diverted through Lincoln, where I lived. I guess that I took this picture when I was about 14 years old, with my little Kodak box camera - the location is definitely Lincoln station, as proved by the church in the background. This train is heading south, towards Kings Cross.
